Difference between Laptop and Desktop

In this technology period neverything going to be electronic no matter it is a currency or a letter. There is almost zero need of paper work these days and it only became possible by laptops and desktops. Today’s whole work is based on Internet. Computers are the basic need to access internet. Let’s know the difference between Laptop and Desktop.

Laptop: Laptop name comes from Lap, it’s simply mean you can operate this device by keep in your lap. You have not need of any specific space for it other side Desktop needs heavy space. Laptop is very easy to carry and just covers 10-15% area as compare to desktop. All hardware like CPU, Mouse, Keyboard and display fitted in a book shaped plastic cover. You can open it like a book and after operate you can close and carry it like a book, the small laptops also known as notebook. Other side; Desktop are very hard to carry.

Desktop: The major difference between a Laptop and desktop is space covered by them. Desktop need a specific major place and electricity connection or UPS system, Laptop has its own battery that is chargeable and doesn’t need major space even you can keep it in your lap. That’s why you can carry and operate it anywhere but desktop could only be operated and situated in offices and Homes. But the life of desktop is longer because it usually kept in a stable position.

Conclusion: If you need a computer which could be carried easily then laptop is best for you or if you need to keep your computer on a specific place then desktop is OK for you. Both have their own specifications but Laptop always gets higher marks because a Laptop could be used as a Desktop but a Desktop couldn’t be used as a Laptop.
