Khamosh is an Urdu-Arabic word for a person who doesn't saying a single word or a thing that doesn't making any sound. In simple words every living and non-living thing which doesn't make any noise is called Khamosh. English meaning of Khamosh is Silent.
Khamosh word is synonymous of Hindi word "Maun". Khamosh is not so much popular in daily life using sentences but in films and music this word has its own special space. It also acquires space in poetries and couplets. There is an example related to this word is "Itne khamosh kyu ho" means Why are you so silent. Due to the absence of any sound or noise the silence that come into existance is known as Khamoshi.
